Giiker Super Slider
How it works: Ok so first, a note. Generally we try to feature simple games from indie creators, and this is technically a future piece of e-waste, but my goodness is it clever! It's a slider puzzle that works like a Traffic Jam or Rush Hour game, where you need to slide a key piece out of a crowded puzzle. It's preloaded with over 500 puzzles (think a Sudoku book with levels of varying difficulty).
Why it's clever: The pieces are magnetic and the tactile feel of sliding them around is just... lovely. Each piece has a little metal bearing inside (which you can hear), and each zone of the board has a magnet. There's a satisfying click clack you've got to hold in you hand to appreciate. The little screen does double duty laying out the levels (it shows the layout, you place the pieces, then start solving), and scrolling the level numbers (it's like a low-res pixel display).
So I don't know much about the company making the game or the best place to buy it. It's available on Amazon and AliExpress and a ton of other places (and there are knock-offs galore). Instead of linking it, I figured y'all would rather Google it.
Price: $15-45 (yes really)
Note: I like this one enough that I ordered a pair for my niece and nephew.
